Foundation
A Built-For-Quote-Requests Website (English and French)
Your website, in English and French.
People check you out before they call. Give them something worth looking at.
A page for each service and each of your main towns so search engines know what you do and where you do it. Photos of your work, your real Google reviews and an easy-to-find quote form on every page. Built for phones, in English and French. Already offer financing? We can integrate a button for it on every page of your website.
Speed To Lead
Quote requests from your site, texted to you within a minute.
Email is where quote requests go to die.
Every quote request from your website reaches your phone by text within a minute, so you know who contacted you and what they want, with an email copy sent to your inbox for your records. Your customer gets a text and an email from you right away, so they know you're on top of it.
Missed Call Texts
A missed call becomes a text to the caller, with your quote form.
On the top of a ladder and can't pick up? Nobody should expect you to.
When you can't take a call, our text-back system sends the caller a text telling them you couldn't pick up and asking them to fill out your quote form, so you can get back to them quickly. Callers on a cell phone get it, during the hours you pick. A caller on a landline can't get a text, so they can leave a voicemail, and we send you a text informing you that someone called and left one. What they fill in on your form lands in your app with every other request, and a text tells you it's there. You turn on call forwarding once, with us on the line. Your phone company may charge for forwarding.
Follow-Ups That Never Forget
Quote follow-ups by text and email.
You sent the quote. Then you got busy. Your competitor responded right away and got the job.
Honest Review “Asks”
A review “ask” ready after every job.
Two Google reviews, and one's from your mother? We've all been there.
Mark a job won and the review text is ready to send in your app. You send it from your own phone once the work is done. Every customer gets the same honest “ask”, happy or not. Your app keeps count and prompts you to send out the reminder once, if you forget someone.
Seasonal Reminders Targeting Past Customers
Seasonal texts and emails to past customers.
You did a great job for them two summers ago. Do they still have your number?
Seasonal texts and emails get sent to customers you provide us with who previously agreed to hear back from you. Pre-drafted and editable: after you approve them, the messages go out in your name, reminding them about your business and offering discounts for recommendations or seasonal deals. All you need to do is provide us with your customer list. And customers always get an opt-out.
One Correct Version Of Your Business Info
Your correct name, number and operating hours, confirmed on Google and Bing.
Changed your number in 2019? Some directory didn't get the memo?
We provide one correct machine-readable version of your name, address, phone and operating hours and match your website, Google and Bing to it. We fix the directory listings we can gain access to. As for the rest, we give you exact instructions on what you need to do to get the remainder changed.
One Business Line, One Inbox, One App
Everything in one place.
Texts here, Facebook messages there, email somewhere else. Sound familiar?
We provide a business line people can call or text you at, and send an email copy of every web request and every text to you, along with your Facebook messages and email. Everything is placed together in one easy-to-manage inbox on your app.
The UTF App, Your Back Office
The UTF app: your back office, on your phone.
Your office is currently that pile of papers covering your truck's dashboard. We move all of that clutter onto your phone and organize it for you.
Every quote request from your website lands in the app's inbox, including its source (when known). Follow-ups get automated, so you don't forget to get back to them. You never forget to ask for a review again, and once you've entered a bid, you can easily track its status. All in one place, under your own business logo. Sound professional enough for you?
Need more?
Fair warning: we're marketers, so yes, we'll try to sell you more. But the foundation comes first. Every time.
Each package holds everything below it. You can't frame a second floor without a foundation. Neither can we.
YOUR GROWTHThe second tier
For the crew already paying for ads, or about to.
Everything in YOUR Foundation, plus:
- Google ads, built and run by us. You pay Google from your own account. Once your ads have run long enough to provide useful data, we block searches that aren't likely customers, based on your own numbers. The app also calculates your ads cost per quote request, so that you can track cost more efficiently.
- Facebook and Instagram ads, built and run. You pay Meta from your own account.
- Your Google profile, updated every month. Every field, your regular and holiday hours, the towns you really serve, and photos from the jobs you send us are all updated once a month so that your data is always correct and fresh.
- Review replies. Every genuine Google review gets answered by us within two working days, in the language it was written in.
- Set up for Google and Bing. Your site describes your services, towns, hours and phone number in the format search engines read. We verify your site with both of them and send each new page straight to Bing. We optimize your Google categories and services for better visibility. But we won't promise a top listing, because that would be lying. Nobody controls Google. The best we can do is whisper in its ear…
- A call with us every 3 months. We'll report what changed since our last meeting, straight from Google's and Bing's own reports.
YOUR TERRITORYThe top tier
For the crew working a lot of towns.
Everything in Your Growth, plus:
- Town pages. A page for each main service in each main town, specifically written about that town. Think "Interlock in Orleans" and "Interlock in Kanata". We agree on the list at your kickoff meeting.
- Competitor watch. You name three competitors. Every month we show you where they show up on Google searches next to you, as well as how fast they are able to get reviews, helping you stay on top of developments in your market.
- A call with us every month, instead of every 3.
- First in line. Your issues go to the top of the list and get solved first.
Add-ons
Level 1 is available with any package. Level 2 goes with Your Growth or Your Territory. Level 3 is available with Your Territory only.
AI Answering
Better than a beep. And it never pretends to be you.
- Level 1, with any package. When you can't pick up, our AI assistant answers in English or French. It informs the caller it's automated, takes their name, number and job, and texts the info to you.
- Level 2, with Your Growth or Your Territory. Includes everything in level 1, plus: during business hours, it also can ask callers qualifying questions that you provide us with and then texts and emails you the client's complete request.
- Level 3, with Your Territory. Everything in level 2, plus: it can now answer calls around the clock and automatically books visits into your work calendar, including reminder texts.
Local Guides
"Do I need a permit for that?" Your site should be answering that question, not the guy at the hardware store making guesses.
- Level 1, with any package. One guide for your main town, including the required permits and town rules for your trade, explained in plain words. Every fact gets checked and dated, and checked again every 3 months so you stay up to date.
- Level 2, with Growth or Territory. Everything in level 1, plus we create a new guide every month for another town you serve.
- Level 3, with Territory. Everything in level 2, plus a guide for every town you serve at launch. We also create a page that compares all of your towns side by side, and update all of your guides every 3 months.
We write them so Google and other search tools can read them and quote them.
Got 30 minutes between jobs?
We show you how it all works, answer every question, and tell you straight if we're not a fit. Worst case, you walk away knowing what to fix.

Book your 30-minute Zoom call
Leave your details. A person on our team calls or texts you within one business day to set the time.
Here's how it goes...
Two calls and a build, with your date written down before we start.
The Demo
(30 minutes)Yeah, it's a sales call. "Demo" just sounds friendlier. But you'll get straight answers, and you'll see how the system works live on Zoom.
We Build It
(about 2 weeks)You send us your business details and your best job pics. We build your website and your system. We provide you with your go-live date and the date every part of your package will be ready, in writing at the kickoff. We guarantee the work and the date. If we're late on a date we guaranteed, you don't pay your monthly fee for any of the days we're late. Your setup fee stays the same. Exceptions? Your date only gets pushed out by the number of days we wait on you, your phone company, another vendor's delays, or delays in an approval from Google or Meta. We think that's fair.
Go-Live Call
(about 30 minutes)We walk you through your site and your app, answer every question, and show you the whole system. Don't worry: "the whole system" consists of a few buttons to learn.
Straight answers
Anything else? Ask us on the call.
Why a setup fee?
Because we build your website, your app and your alerts before you pay a single monthly bill, and that's real days of work. So we put it right on the card, as its own line. Half when you sign, half when you go live, and we don't waive it. Since the setup pays for the build, we don't need a long-term contract to get our money back. Then your first month is free, from your go-live day.
How long before this does anything for me?
Your new website, your text alerts and your app are working for you from your go-live day, and your customers will hear back from you right away once things are up and running. Every part of your package has a specific date in writing on the list we provide you at kickoff. Truth be told, Google is often the slow part. Lots of different factors come into play with Google listings: how long you've been around, number of reviews and your rating, how competitive your area is and who you're up against. Anybody who promises you quick results is lying to you. If you want that from us, we're not your guys. We pour the foundation of your digital marketing. We don't perform miracles.
Can I stop?
Yes. There's no long-term contract, so you can stop any month. You keep your web address and your Google profile. The website and the system stop working. If we're not earning our keep, fire us. We'll be sad for about a day. Then we'll get back to work.
Who pays Google and Meta?
You do, from your own account, straight to them. Your ad money never goes through us. We don't touch it and we don't mark it up, and that stays true in your free month too. Foundation doesn't include ads. With Growth or Territory, we build and run your ads, and Google and Meta bill your account, not ours. Ever spent five grand on an ad campaign and got crappy leads and one job? Then you know why every ad dollar should sit where you can see it.
Do I need a new phone number?
No. Your number stays the same on your truck, your cards and your signs. For missed calls, you turn on call forwarding once, with us on the line. A call you can't take then goes to your UTF line, which texts the caller a link to your quote form. Your phone company may charge for forwarding. The business line in your package comes on top of your number, not instead of it: people can call it or text it, and you get an email copy of every text.
Who am I actually dealing with?
UrbanTechFlow. We're a small team of seasoned professionals who have worked in the field for years. We got sick of all of the crap and decided to start showing people how marketing for contractors should be done. We work remotely with the trades in the Ottawa and Gatineau area, by phone and video. No wasting time driving to meetings, no call centres to navigate, no ticket numbers to manage: you deal with the same small team from the first call onwards, before you sign up and after you become our client.
