You may have received an email, a text or a message from us. This page says who wrote, why your business was contacted, and how to stop the messages for good. It takes one sentence, and you do not have to give a reason.
UrbanTechFlow is the name the business operates under, and it is the name on every message we send. It is a company that builds websites and follow-up systems for contractors in Ottawa (Ontario) and Gatineau (Quebec), in English and in French. It works remotely, by phone and video. UrbanTechFlow speaks as a company and does not publish the names of the people who work there.
Why your business received a message
We write to businesses, about their business. Never to private individuals, never about a private matter.
The contact details we use are the ones the business publishes itself in public: its website, its Google listing, its advertisement, its entry in a public registry.
Lists are not bought and not rented. They are built from public sources.
The message is about the work of the business we contacted: its online presence, its calls, its quotes, its Google listing, its reviews.
A message does not mean something is wrong at your shop. Nobody here knows your numbers, and we do not invent them.
How to tell us to stop
By text: reply STOP. UNSUBSCRIBE, END, QUIT and CANCEL work too.
No account to create, no form to fill in, no hidden button. You do not have to explain why.
What happens next
We stop. On every channel, not only the one you replied on. Email, text, professional message, contact form: it is the same list.
It is permanent. A refusal does not expire and does not come back in a later campaign.
It is actioned as soon as it is read, and at the latest inside the ten business days CASL allows.
We do not follow up to change your mind, and we do not ask for a reason.
Your contact details are then kept for one purpose only: to stop us writing to you again.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your contact details to anyone.
We do not use what you write for advertising.
We do not treat a refusal as an opening for a follow-up call.
If we got it wrong
If a message reached you after you had already asked us to stop, tell us at info@urbantechflow.com. That is our mistake, we want to know about it, and we fix it. You can also report a commercial message to the CRTC's Spam Reporting Centre.
